The original incident took place in Greenwich on Monday, July 18, on lower Greenwich Avenue around 4:30 p.m.

Geraldo Morales, of the Bronx, was extradited from New York last week and charged with a number of felonies, including conspiracy to commit robbery and criminal attempt at larceny, according to the Greenwich Police.

The siblings were followed by two men who were inside the store at the time they made the purchases, police said at the time of the attack.

As they made their way to their vehicle, the two men, one of them allegedly Morales who was wearing a bright pink jacket, attempted to forcibly take the items from the woman, police said.

The brother attempted to fight the two off with the help of a Good Samaritan who came to the rescue. The two would-be robbers ran off and at least one escaped in a silver BMW getaway car, police said.

Morales is being held on a $100,000 bond which he was unable to post. His next court date is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 10.
